Over the past six months, the Rowan University Libraries DEI Committee has opened a volunteer opportunity for staff from all libraries to participate in Fresh for All with The Office of Volunteerism. The DEI Committee is dedicated to making the libraries and campuses more inclusive for all users and workers.

Fresh for All, spearheaded by Philabundance, brings fresh fruits and vegetables to communities. Students and community members can pick up fresh produce at no cost every Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Parking Lot D on Rowan’s Glassboro campus.

Our staff volunteers portioned out fresh produce for local community members and Rowan students, placed the produce into clients’ vehicles, and assisted walk-up clients.

Rowan University Libraries supports access to food for all and is pleased to have participated in such a meaningful experience on the Glassboro campus. Everyone is welcome to volunteer—find out how you can get involved here!
