De-stress at Hope Brings Strength

The Hope Brings Strength (HBS) Library at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine supports student well-being by offering resources for both focused study and meaningful breaks. Some of these resources were on display at the library’s table during De-Stress Day on December 16, 2025, hosted by the Student Affairs and Alumni Engagement Department.

“With the Library’s recent transition to 24/7 access, this event was the perfect opportunity for us to remind students to give themselves grace and take the breaks they deserve,” said Nicole Morfitt, Access Services Supervisor.

At the event, over 100 students stopped by the library’s table to learn about resources designed to support a balanced approach to stress. Library staff displayed wellness fliers as well as sports equipment and board games available for checkout, encouraging students to see the library as a space for both brains and breaks. Giveaways like stress balls and hot and cold packs–along with a Snuggie raffle–added a lighthearted touch, reinforcing the importance of comfort and rest as key components of student success.
